Recently there was a summit on protecting the world’s oceans attending by representatives of most countries.  Overfishing is but one of the many issues that are plaguing our oceans. We can’t pretend that the oceans are external to our national ecosystems; the World is a closed system and oceanic pollution and degradation impacts the entire system.
